Owner & Founder
Arlette founded Careers Unlimited in 1985 because she believed that recruiting should be based on human resources principles, not sales. And with two young boys to raise, she needed flexibility in her career. With focused determination and a passion for bridging the gap between employers and employees, Arlette slowly built Careers Unlimited into the insurance recruitment leader it is today.
Her human resources experience spans three decades and began at Diversified Financial Corp., where she was 2nd Vice President and edited two publications that were distributed nationally.
Eileen M. Schanck
Sr. Vice President (Retired)
Recently retired, Eileen's legacy at Careers Unlimited spans two decades of stellar service. Throughout her tenure, Eileen represented Careers Unlimited with the utmost professionalism and integrity. Clients and candidates appreciated her graceful, low-key style, and they trusted her expertise to find just the right fit for their positions and company. Eileen’s strong moral values and solid work ethic have been vital to our success and continue to embody what Careers Unlimited stands for.
Eileen earned a BSBA from Providence College and attended Classical HS. Her strong background in Human Resources includes extensive legislative service as follows:
Marc A. Ferreira
Vice President, Insurance Recruitment
Marc joined Careers Unlimited in 2011 to strategically market our leadership brand. You could say that recruiting is in his blood since he’s been around it from the age of 9, when his mother founded Careers Unlimited. Marc is stepping up to the plate now that Eileen is retiring and we are proud to have him on the Careers Unlimited team.
Marc comes to us from Fidelity Investments' Wealth Management division and was previously with Fortune 1000 company APC as Enterprise Manager.
Born in continental Portugal, Arlette emigrated to the United States with her family in 1960 at the age of eight. Her education began in a one room school house, Escola das Viegas, in a small village north of Lisbon. After moving to the U.S. she quickly became fluent in English and later became an honors student in Rhode Island’s public school system. Before graduating, she was recruited by Gamwell & Ingraham Insurance Agency, which laid the foundation for a lifelong career path in insurance recruitment.
Arlette is passionate about helping insurance firms reach their sales and customer service goals through effective hiring strategies. And she is just as passionate about helping insurance professionals reach their career goals.
Aside from insurance hiring and recruitment, Arlette's great passion is her family. She is the mother of two adult sons (Marc and Rick) and their wives (Cynthia and Nicole) and proud grandmother of three beautiful children, Fatima, Antonio, and Ethan.
